“It’s because of my religion,” Waiters was quoted telling Northeast Ohio Media Group. “That’s why I stayed in the locker room.”
However, Waiters took to Twitter on Saturday to deny any rumors about him and the national anthem.
It’s a strange situation, but either way Waiters was present for the national anthem before the Denver Nuggets game on Friday.
