Disco Elysium is now available on the Epic Game Store after previous releases on Steam and Good Old Games. The announcement came in the form of a trailer during the Guerrilla Collective’s Live showcase.

The trailer itself revels in the same splendor that composes the tone of the game’s writing and aesthetic. The main premise of the trailer is “what makes a true RPG?” The question itself may seem weird but Disco Elysium is a game that both embodies and deconstructs the RPG genre. It turns the trailer into a highlight real of one of the most revered games to release in the last decade despite coming at the tail end it. It’s a game that still has fans captivated with branching stories and lingering mysteries.

The trailer itself celebrates the achievements of Disco Elysium by questioning if “a certain prestige” or “winning the undying love of the people” make a RPG. Yet, the trailer ends by making it clear that despite its genre morphing, developer ZA/UM’s game is a “true RPG.”

Disco Elysium is by no means done with a release on the Epic Game Store. A Switch port was confirmed earlier this year as well as plans for ports on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year.

Disco Elysium is out now for PC including the Epic Game Store, and will be released for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One in 2020.
