Not only can players befriend characters such as Elsa, Moana and Goofy, players can also befriend the wild animals that live in the different regions of the valley, gather resources, farm, build, decorate, and cook some great meals for themselves or as gifts for characters. While Disney Dreamlight Valley doesn’t allot a certain amount of energy for each day, like Stardew Valley, it does require players to keep up with their energy bar. One way to do this is to visit their house on occasion to rest up, or to eat tasty meals.
But not every meal is available to players right away. Some have to be discovered or learned through the course of the game, which can become tricky for players trying to create new and tasty treats for themselves or others. But thankfully, this guide will help all players figure out what they need for each recipe that is currently available right now.
Updated December 8, 2022 by Nikole Stewart: The popularity of Disney Dreamlight Valley hasn’t dwindled since it’s early release. Many fans are still keeping up with their valley while growing their friendships with the villagers, and decorating as best as they can. It’s safe to say that Disney Dreamlight Valley is becoming the new Animal Crossing for now.
Thankfully, the developers are making sure that fans are as occupied as possible by giving players two new updates within the fall. The first update was in October with Scar coming to the valley, and the most recent one in December has added Buzz, Woody and the beloved Stitch. And not only are these characters a new addition, but there are some new recipes that have been added.
So it’s safe to say that an update is needed to not only add in the new recipes, but to organize the ones already listed as best as possible to make sure fans can find exactly what they’re looking for without time wasted. That being said, the list will be organized by dish type seen in the game menu, but will still have the star-rating next to it to make sure fans can get all answers needed.
Cooking
To cook, players must find all ingredients required of a recipe and place them into a cooking pot. Players will soon get the change of having a kitchen in their own house after working through the tutorial of the game which allows them to cook there. As they go through the game and unlock Remy, they will help him open up his restaurant in the valley, which also allows players to cook in there. Another cooking pot is available to players in the Sunlit Plateau once that area is unlocked.
There are different levels to each recipe based on ratings. The easier recipes are generally lower in Star-Ratings as they require fewer ingredients, but the more complicated a dish is, the higher its rating is the more energy it restores as well as more money players can get from selling the meals. The star-ratings are generally associated with how many ingredients a recipe needs, therefore, four ingredient dishes are four-star ratings, and will be better to eat than one that is one-star ratings.
