Like with many recipes, there is no small amount of trial and error when it comes figuring out how to make them. Using different ingredients can also make other variants of the same dish. A good example of this is Sushi. While there is one main type of Sushi, using different ingredients can result in completely different types of Sushi.

How to Make Sushi

The basic recipe for Sushi is pretty easy to make. Disney Dreamlight Valley players just need to gather one of the many fish that can be caught in the game along with some rice, which needs to be grown from seeds purchased from Goofy’s Stall in the Glade of Trust. For the most part, any kind of fish will result in the same Sushi roll. The only difference will be how much energy is restored when eating the Sushi. Trying to use a shellfish with rice will result in cooking a Seafood Appetizer instead, so players should avoid that if they are trying to make Sushi.

One of the few fish that changes the recipe is Salmon. If players are trying to make Sushi as part of a quest or a meal at Remy’s Restaurant, they should avoid using Salmon. Using Salmon creates Sake Sushi, and adding seaweed into the mix results in Sake Maki. There are several other ingredients that can make different kinds of Sushi, and not all of them require rice or fish or both. A good example would be Tamagoyaki, which is made with sugarcane and eggs.

Quests That Require Sushi

As mentioned above, there is a quest from Ursula that requires players bribe Mother Gothel for information by making two Sushi and a Lobster Roll. Since Sushi is pretty flexible in what ingredients can be used, players can use almost any kind of fish to make the Sushi.

Other Uses For Sushi

Like with many ingredients, meals, and other various random items that can be obtained in Diseny Dreamlight Valley, Sushi occasionally shows up as one of the daily favorite items for all the various Disney characters. If Sushi happens to be the favorite item, players can give it to that character and get bonus progress towards the next Friendship Level.

Other than that, Sushi is one meal that can be requested by characters who visit Remy’s Restaurant. If neither of those situations are the case, players can also eat Sushi to regain some energy.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
